Project and Programme Management for Project Managers and Executives - 

“I initially became aware of Adapt Limited through Forest Heath District Council who were looking to roll-out some Project and Programme Management training across their organisation.

Over a period of several months I became further involved and we met with Adapt on a number of occasions to produce the training package.  Specifically, we collectively developed the training package so that it would be suitable for both St Edmundsbury Borough Council and Forest Heath District Council. This was an important prelude to fully integrate shared services between the two Councils and served to help start to integrate officer teams.

I was particularly impressed with Adapts professional approach; and impressed with their ability to understand our requirements and quickly develop a bespoke training package which dovetailed perfectly with our adopted approach to Project Management.

The training was delivered to groups of officers from a varied range of services (over 50 officers in all) and the benefits have quickly begun to be realised as teams have come together through our shared services programme.

Feedback from the delegates who attended the course was also extremely positive and they particularly enjoyed the pace and delivery of the course which avoided the typical PowerPoint centred approach.

I have had the pleasure of working with Adapt Limited – specifically Leonard Potgieter - for the past 5 years, during my time as ICT Training Manager with Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.  Leonard and his team have provided a number of courses including ‘Dynamic Management’, PRINCE2 Practitioner, and some software courses.  All of my training team (including me) passed PRINCE2, and all of the management training has been practical, productive and useful in the workplace.   Adapt have been easy to work with – understanding exactly our requirements in order that the best course is delivered.  The feedback from my colleagues has always been positive.  Their trainers are highly skilled professionals with experience and an ability to put delegates at ease.

Customer Service Direct

Major Change Programme - “It's a Result” - Senior Managers Celebrate

More than 20 senior managers at CSD, a joint initiative between Suffolk County Council, Mid Suffolk District Council and BT to centralise council services, took part in a major six month training programme, specially developed by Adapt. The training was accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Adapt worked closely with the senior managers or 'Business Partners' in ICT, Human Resources and Finance to provide a review of their key management skills and help them apply these to their new service provider positions under Customer Service Direct.

Bridget Taylor, Director of Strategy and Services at Customer Service Direct, said: “Adapt's programme has successfully provided a forum for Business Partners to develop their consultancy role. The creation of CSD has been a cultural shift for all of us and as a result of the training, the Business Partners have been able to strengthen their relationships with each other and their clients.”

I have been working with Adapt since 2003 and have used the company for a variety of standard and bespoke training courses.  When I have a training need, Adapt are always willing to research and present me with suitable options within the budget available to me.  At times when  funding has been withdrawn and I have not been able to proceed with a project, I have been delighted that this has not damaged my relationship with Adapt.  The delegates who have attended courses with Adapt have returned highly motivated and have given very positive feedback of their training course.  On occasion the course provided has deliberately been more than the delegate has immediately needed, but they have been provided with reference material in order to be able to apply the more advanced learning as their experience develops. My account manager has taken the time to understand our particular needs and my own preferences for contact.  I receive suitable and appropriate email updates and occasional telephone calls.  I greatly appreciate that Adapt, unlike many other suppliers, does not bombard me with unnecessary calls.  When my own account manager is not available, another member of the team is always happy to help me. 

I have recommended Adapt to other NHS colleagues who seem to value their relationship with the organisation.

Addenbrookes Hospital

Programme Delivered:  NHS Customer Service Excellence - ILM Endorsed programme

Adapt delivered a (funded) programme for a cohort of our front line reception staff which focused on the patient experience and good customer service.

The feedback from the participants was that they found the programme useful and made them reflect on who their customers were which also included colleagues from other departments.   Although we have not worked with Adapt since this programme in 2010 (due to lack of funding), I have always found any conversations I have had with them to have been conducted in a professional manner.

Programme Delivered: Political Networking and Building Relationships, and various management courses

I have been liaising with Adapt since 2013 and commissioned them to deliver a series of courses during 2014.  I was happy to work with Adapt as their approach was very professional and there was good discussions on what we required and how we wanted this to be delivered or supported in the organisation.  Adapt were always keen to get it right.  More importantly they utilised their expertise is offering suggestions or options that could complement our approach.

Adapt offered Emotional Intelligence, Leading and Delegating, Influencing and Persuading, Political Networking and Building Relationships courses and I found that their presence and delivery to be professional and mindful of the target audience. In all instances, we found our staff to be very pleased with their delivery and once evaluations gathered there was consistently good feedback which fed into practical approaches to implement learning in the workplace.

Adapt are an organisation I would consider working with again.  They have a range of individuals that can be called upon and their business manager is very courteous in following up ensuring that the solutions employed were exactly what we commissioned and any concerns addressed immediately.
