Requirements for Electrical Installations 1-day

Duration 1 day (plus on line assessment)

This qualification aims to brief and assess candidates on the changes since the 16th edition. It will focus on the main additions and alterations from the 16th edition that have been incorporated in the 2008 17th edition.

Pre-requisites:

Candidates must have achieved one of the following qualifications to be allowed to enter this qualification.

C&G Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: June 2001 (2381),
C&G Level 3 Certificate in Electro technical Technology Installation (Building and Structures) (2330-07), C&G Level 3 Certificate in Electro technical Technology (Electrical Maintenance) (2330-08),
C&G Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation Part Two (2360)

Aims of the course:

To meet the needs of experienced candidates, who work in the Building Services Engineering sector, such as Electricians, and who need to be able to demonstrate knowledge of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.

To update candidates with additions and changes to BS 7671 since the last edition

Course Objectives:

On successful completion of this course, the delegate will be able to demonstrate an understanding and be conversant with the format, content and application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (17th edition).

Achievement of the course objectives will be verified by theoretical assessment.

Certification:

On successful completion all delegates will be issued a City & Guilds 2382-20 Certificate
